Trucks, boots, and mud, what more could you want?
I worked with Hanlon Creative advertising to realize their vision of putting the audience directly in the mud in order to demonstrate the waterproofing abilities of Kiwi Stay Dry. I wanted to keep the focus on the product and so the decision was made to create a seamless transition between the boots exiting the truck and the mud splash that follows. The “time-freeze” effect was a combination of a live-action dolly shot composited with some CGI mud, water, and rain.
Shot on Arri Alexa, cut on Final Cut pro and graded with Davinci 2K. Visual effects were done in Cinema 4D and Adobe After Effects.
